HOW DO I MEASURE MY DOOR? Click HERE. There is no extra charge for special sizes and we try to ship the same day we receive the order.

Actual length of the 1” and 1¼ “ bars: Take the width of the door and subtract 2½ “ for the 1” bar. Take the width of the door and add 2½ “ for the 1¼ “ bar.

Example....a 36” door: The 1” bar would be 33½ “long. The 1¼ “ bar would be 38½ “long.

Model Number: Example...SB-01-0036. The 01 stands for outswing and the 36 stands for 36” wide door.

Package includes: 1” square tubing that installs permanently on the door. 1¼ “ square tubing with “L” bolts that go across the jamb. Tubing is electrostatic powder coated, red silk screened arrow with red LIFT UP letters. Two “L” bolts 6 ½ “ long with four flange nuts. Two step nuts with two elevator bolts. A stick-on caution sign reading “CAUTION This door to remain unlocked during occupancy”, a storing bracket and our most important Exit Security “STEEL GRIP”. With our easy-to-do instruction sheet, installation will be a breeze.

Installation: No door or door frame preparation is required. No special tools are needed. The instruction sheet was designed for a quick and simple installation. Please allow a 15 to 20 minute installation time for your first time. Tools needed include: electric drill, 5/16” drill bit, crescent wrench, tape measure and pencil. Click HERE to download installation instructions.

Building and fire codes: Customers should always comply with your local building codes. We feel our bar is emergency sensitive and it requires no special knowledge or effort to remove. Note that you are able to lock bar in storing bracket with padlock (not included). That is, you can lock it in the unlocked position.
